I love octopuses too (it's okay octopuses is proper English
). The psychedelic colors remind me of 60's stoner art, which I gather is intentional. Unlike that art, though, this has a darker side. That octopus doesn't exactly look like he's enjoying himself and those bulging veins ought to worry him. It's a cute touch how the suckers on the tentacle mirror the texture of the coral.
By the way it took me a minute, but I noticed the Rastafarian hat he's wearing
